Anti-Ragging cell
An effective Anti-Ragging cell is functioning in this college. The cell consists of four members and the Principal, Dr. Lakshmy Natarajan is the head of this Cell. The Instituion takes immediate action against ragging and our campus is free from ragging activities.
Placement cell
The Placement cell functioning in the institution provides career information and vacancy positions to the teacher trainees and informs the neighbouring schools about the pass percentage & academic excellence of the student teachers. The function of the placement cell is a boon to the employers.
Guidance cell
The cell extends guidance and counselling services to student teachers in discovering their own talents and assists in overcoming anxiety in the academic field and personal life.
Grievance and redressal cell
The cell demands student-teachers to voice their opinion and lodge their complaints. The genuine grievances are taken into consideration for redressal.
Other Major cells
Tutorial System
SIX student teachers are grouped and placed under a teacher educator(mentor cum tutor) for tutorial work. The student teachers are met at regular intervals to share their experiences and solve their problems. The outcomes of mentoring are reported to parents if necessary, else where the tutor deals the problems and remediation strategies are suggested.
Career Corner
The Career corner provides periodicals and publications which help the student teachers be aware of various job opportunities and higher studies option.
Sports and Games
The College has its own play ground sufficient for the conduct of football, handball,volleyball and athletics. Sufficient arrangements are available for indoor games.
House System
The 50 Students are grouped into 3 houses.
Arts and Sports competitions are held house wise. This instills healthy competitive spirit among student teachers.
Alumni
The Alumni Association of the college had its inception in 2008. Awareness programmes on road safety, tribal culture and medicines and a legal workshop have been organized by the former students so far.
Parent Teachers Association
An efficient PTA under the presidentship of Adv. Faziludeen is functioning in the college. It serves as a blessing to the institution’s progress.The PTA is always ready to extend any sort of help so that their wards get exemplary education.
Practice teaching
The practice teaching segment all inevitable part of the B.Ed training Course helps in achieving and strengthening the teaching skills of prospective teachers. The teaching pratice which fall under two spells is conducted in 12 practice teaching schools.
